Obituary

Dorothy J. (Crane) PAHL, 84, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed Wednesday June 26,2013 at Heartland - Lansing. She was born in W.Va., on December 30, 1928, a daughter of the late Elmer and Leota Hawkins Crane. Dorothy was an avid bowler. She was recognized by President George H.W.Bush as the 920th "Point of Light" for her outstanding volunteer service to the community; a retired employee of Big Bear and Bobbie Brooks, and a Methodist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Dean Allen Pahl, and several brothers and sisters. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 64 years William Pahl; a daughter Brenda Lovell and her husband David of Columbus, Ohio; a brother Paul (Bertha) Crane of Harrisville, Ohio; brother-in-law Fred Pahl, sister-in-law Phyllis Dunkel; grandchildren: Amanda Lovell, Michelle Abajace, Eric Perzanowski; three great grandchildren: Emily Anderson, Justin Salzman and Tommy Pike. Friends will be received Saturday 2 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, and also on Sunday June 30, 2013 from 10 until the time of services at 12 noon.
