She was born May 22, 1941 in Jacobsburg, OH a daughter of the late Sylvan Guy and Mamie L. (Burns) Palmer. Carole was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, an avid bowler and a member of the First Christian Church in Martins Ferry, OH. She worked as a seamstress for Bobbie Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; Larry, William, George and Donald Palmer and sisters; Sharon and Donna. Carole leaves behind her husband, Robert of 52 years, her six children; Randy, Tammy and Lisa Scarfpin all of Martins Ferry; Rhonda (Rick) Fuller of Solon, OH, Cindy (Jeff) Krahel of Lansing, OH and Robert Scarfpin, Jr. of West Hollywood, CA, seven grandchildren; Courtney, Dustin, Kara and Katie Scarfpin and Cameron, Carson and Coen Fuller, five sisters; Clara Dunfee of Bellaire, Mary Moore of Cincinnati, OH, Edna (James) Fulton of Wheeling, WV, Neva (Howard) Robinson of CA and Shirley (Edward) Bell of Martins Ferry. Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm where services will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Minister Rod Kasler officiating.
