Dorothy (Strain) Rochus, 99, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Autumn Health Care, Cambridge, OH. She was born September 9, 1913 in St. Clairsville, OH a daughter of the late Samuel B. and Luetta (Morrow) Strain. Dorothy was a retired manager of the former Five & Ten Dept. Store and a member of the First Presbyterian Church both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John W. Rochus, brothers; Howard S., Robert, Sr., John C., and Albert M. Strain and sisters; Martha L. Strain and Gladys Paulina. Surviving are her son, Gary A. (Amy) Rochus of Cambridge, OH, grandchildren Andrew Rochus of Belpre, OH and Daniel Rochus of Toronto, OH and great grandchildren; Emily and Molly Kappes. Friends will be received Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, 10 am until time of a Memorial Service at 11:00 am with Rev. David Stammerjohn officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 400 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
