Dorothy Ann Bennett 82, of Bridgeport, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, in Wheeling Hospital. She was born on March 9, 1941, in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Smrekar) Roth Sr. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; retired from P.B.G.C. and Picway Shoes. Dorothy enjoyed working puzzles, especially word searches.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Sherri (Dick) Flanagan, Brent (Sherri) Bennett, Jeff (Tracey) Bennett and Susan Caldwell; a brother, Donald "Donas" (Patricia) Roth; two sisters, Elizabeth "Liz" (Dan) Lipperman and Lillian (John) Magistro; grandchildren, Victoria (Kodi), Joe (Ariel), Cordell, Austin (Sam), Cassidy, Dallas and Halayna; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold "Benny" Bennett in 2000; a son, Brian Bennett; brothers, John "Jack" Roth Jr, Charles "Chuck" Roth, and Robert Roth; sisters, Mary Ann "Meatzie" Nedved and Theresa Pollack; and a granddaughter, Ashley "Flan" Flanagan.

Friends may call Friday from 3-7 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Ave, Bridgeport officiated by Father John Mucha. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
