DOROTHY M. SOLOVAN, 83, of Martins Ferry, died Monday, February 18, 2008 at Forest Hill Retirement Community, St. Clairsville. She was born June 12, 1924 in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Charles and Frances Strauss Martin. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Martins Ferry and the KSKJ Lodge. Dorothy is survived by her husband John Solovan of Martins Ferry; a son Judge John Solovan, II and his wife Kathleen of Belmont, OH; two daughters Deborah Mihalik and her husband Joseph of Findlay, OH and Donna SolovanGleason and her husband William of Trinity, FL; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a step great grandson. Visitation will be Thursday 4 - 8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where Rosary services will be held at 4 pm and Vigil services at 7:45 pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday at lOam at St. Mary Catholic Church in Martins Ferry with Father Thomas Magary as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to SMC 2000 or Valley Hospice.
