Dorothy Elizabeth Waltz, 93, of St. Clairsville, formerly of Weirton passed away Saturday, October 31st, at the Park Health Center in St. Clairsville, OH. She was born on August 1, 1933, in Weirton, WV, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Fodor) Kanai.

She was a retired switch board Operator in Weirton for C & P Telephone Company, a member of the Evangelical Baptist Church of Weirton, and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of Weirton Hospital. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, who poured her heart into raising her family. She had many interests but truly enjoyed cooking, decorating for the holidays and loved her grand-dog Vinny. Her spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, as she touched many lives through her kindness and dedication to her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Waltz and sister, Betty Riffee.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, April (Jim) McFarland, and Penny (Dan) Brown, granddaughter, Haley McFarland, and special niece, Sharon Riffee.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, November 5th, from 11 to 12 noon at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912. Graveside service will be at 1pm at the Chapel Hill Cemetery, 135 Gilson Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.
