Douglas A. Elerick, 50, of Barnesville, Ohio, died at his home Friday, May 5, 2017.  Born May 21, 1966 in Barnesville, Ohio, he was the son of Joyce Elerick and the late Chester "Eugene" Elerick. Working as a carpenter for many years, Doug had a deep love for his family, and held his nieces and nephews in a very special place in his heart.  He enjoyed hunting for that special bargain and his many pets. Doug is survived by his wife of 23 years, Betty Elerick of Barnesville, Ohio; daughters, Patricia Elerick (Paul Jewell) of Zanesville, Ohio, Campsie Elerick of Barnesville, Ohio; mother, Joyce Elerick of Barnesville, Ohio; sisters, Cindy (Steve) Benson of Beallsville, Ohio, Amy (Michael) Smith, Lesta (Arthur) McCammon all of Barnesville, Ohio; brother, David Elerick (Linda Elliott) of Quaker City, Ohio; grandson, Jazon Jewell; special friend, Norma Marmie; and special companion, Carlos, his dog. Friends and family are welcome to visit, Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio, where the service for Doug will be conducted, Tuesday at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
