Earl J. "Jim" Kinnan, 65, of S. Third St., Martins Ferry, OH died Jan. 9, 2004 at home. He was born Jan. 28, 1938 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Laughman) Kinnan. He was retired from the Steubenville Office of Goodwill Industries. Jim was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus both of Martins Ferry; the Martins Ferry board member of the Jefferson County C.A.C.; a member of the American Association of People with Disabilities; Ohio Rehabilitation Service Commission; and the Consumer Advisory Committee of the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services Surviving are his wife Betty (Czapp) Kinnan, two sons David Kinnan and his wife Jennifer of Brunswick, OH and Joseph Kinnan of Columbus, and two granddaughters Callista and Allison Kinnan. Friends will be received Sun. 12 -3 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Mon., Jan. 12, 2004 at 10:00 AM at St Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Fr. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
