Earl R. Pugh, Jr., 67, of Shadyside, OH died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born July 1, 1948 in New Matamoras, OH a son of the late Earl R. Pugh, Sr. and Mildred (Hanlon) Pugh. He was retired from Nickle's Bakery, Martins Ferry. Earl was an avid bowler and active with the band parents at Bellaire High School and a graduate of Martins Ferry High School in 1967. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Surviving are his wife Patricia Mae (Selmon) Pugh, children; Lisa (Kirk) McGee, Sheyanne (Brock) Hawkins, Earl (Tammy) Pugh, Ronald (Nicole) Reed and Shondel (Chris Hindman) Pugh, brother, Leroy (Rose) Pugh, sisters; Dorothy (Terry) Blon, Shirley Hartlieb, and Diana (Tom) Haapapuro, fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his faithful companion Smokey. Friends will be received Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 from 1-3 pm & 5 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH with Terry Blon officiating.
