Edith M. Taylor, 95, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. Born June 18, 1921 in New Castle, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ephriam Decker and Myrtle Pierce Decker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Taylor; sons, Gerald and Johnny Taylor; brothers, Harold, Thamer "Bud", Terry, and Neal Decker; sisters, Betty Decker and Helen Gibson; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Trina, Tammy, Lori, Johnny, and Crystal; numerous great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; special niece and nephew, Linda and Ralph Lucas; and daughter-in-law, Beverly Taylor.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, Edith was a member of First Baptist Church of Barnesville, a member of Magnolia Twig which was affiliated with Barnesville Hospital, and was a very active member of the Barnesville Senior Center. She was retired from Western Auto, where she had worked for many years.
