Obituary

EDNA JANE AINSCOUGH went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, surrounded by her family at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born in Long Run, Ohio on October 10, 1924, the youngest child of the late Thomas Hatch Ainscough and Viola Thompson Ainscough. Edna, a longtime resident of Dillonvale resided the last five years in Yorkville. She worked as a clerk at The New Co-operative Co. in Dillonvale, retiring in 1986. Edna was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Friends Church, serving through the years as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, choir member and a member of the Rebecca Coleman Missionary Society. Edna had perfect attendance in Sunday school for more that 25 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Dorothy Ellen; two sisters, Linda Slivensky and Lila Shank; and two brothers, Thomas ""Buddy"" and Harvey Ainscough. Surviving are many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved and treated as her own. Friends will be received Friday from 3 - 9 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale. Friends are then invited to attend visitation on Saturday from noon until the time of the service at 1 pm at Mt. Pleasant Friends Church with Pastor James Ogden officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Friends Church Youth Program, Mt. Pleasant, Ohio.
