Edna R. (Loeffler) Mills, 87, formerly of Washington St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sun., May 2, 2004 at the Manor at Whitehall, Columbus, OH. She was born Jan. 12, 1917 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Oscar J. and Rosalena (Arnold) Loeffler. She is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, a charter member of the Martins Ferry Fire Dept. Auxiliary, and a charter member and former secretary of Eagles Aerie #456 Auxiliary all of Martins Ferry, In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Mills, Sr., three brothers Ralph C., Oscar A. and Roy M. Loeffler, and her grandmother Pauline Arnold who raised her. Surviving are a son Robert A. (Sandra) Mills, Jr. of West Lafayette, OH, two daughters Ruth Ellen (Roger) Auker of Fredericktown, OH, and Rosalie (James) Sambuco of Whitehall, six grandchildren Michael D. (Lisa) Mills, Richard D. (Melissa) Mills, Kristi L. (Brian) Oravec, Donald J. Sambuco, Timothy R. (Lisa) Auker, and Ellen K. (Ed) Walker, and thirteen great grandchildren. Friends will be received Wed., from 5-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thurs., May 6, 2004 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Foundation.
