Edna A. (Steese) Coen, 101, of Main St., Rayland, OH, died Fri., May 11, 2007 at Rosewood Manor, Yorkville, OH. She was born Jan. 7, 1906 in Rayland a daughter of the late Henry M. and Daisy (Tidrick) Steese. She was retired from the former Tiltonsville First National Bank and Yorkville Community Savings, and a member of the Rayland United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women of the Church. Edna also sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for over seventy-five years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William A. Coen, five brothers Oris,Bernice, George, Henry, Herman Steese, and three sisters Una Roe, Hazel Hudson and Ethel McDermott. Surviving are three nephews Jack Hudson of Atlanta, GA, Alan McDermott of Orlando, FL, and Fred Steese of MI, a niece Kandy Cefaldo of Dallas, TX, and also by her United Methodist Church family. Friends will be received Mon. 4-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral services will be Tues., May 15, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Rayland United Methodist Church, Rayland, OH where Rev. Thomas N. Thomas will officiate.
