Dr. Edward Tweet Anderson, 69, of St. Clairsville and Bloomington, IL, died Mon., Oct. 25, 2004 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV Dr. Anderson retired in 1991 as Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Professor of Industrial Technology at Illinois State University. During his tenure with the university he also served as Associate Provost and Dean, College of Continuing Education and Public Service. His Ed. D in Education was earned at the University of Illinois in 1970. He has also served as the President of several organizations including; Illinois Industrial Education Association, Illinois Vocational Association, Iota Lambda Sigma and Riverwoods RV and Condo Association. Additionally he was a member of McLean County Chamber of Commerce, United Private Industry Council and Community Relations, Illinois State University. Dr. Anderson was preceded in death by his father Peter Edward Anderson and wife Carol Ardith Anderson. He was joined in death by his mother Gertrude Tweet Anderson on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife Carol Michael Anderson, St. Clairsville, OH; his brother Eugene (Judy) Anderson, Wayzata, MN; children Kevin (Deb) Anderson, Redondo Beach, CA, Dawn (Dennis) Ritter, Bloomington, IL, Gretchen (Danny) Retteghieri, Houston, TX., grandchildren Ben, Karen, Cody, and Travis; and Carol Michael Anderson's sons Jay (Sharon) Michael, Dublin, OH, Ross (Lois) Michael, Fisher, IN, Todd (Rhonda) Michael, Canonsburg, PA and her grandchildren Mikayla, Jenna, Eddie and Delcie Michael. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sun., Oct. 31, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church in Normal, IL, where he was a member, with Pastor Jim Bell officiating. A private burial service will follow . In lieu of flowers please direct donations to First Presbyterian Church, Normal, IL and the Illinois State University Foundation.
