EDWARD "EDDIE" CARUTH, 58, of St. Clairsville, formerly of Bridgeport, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at his home. He was born May 19, 1951 in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Fred and Nellie (Coss) Caruth. Eddie was an employee at Carson Petroleum Co. in Lansing. He was a member of the Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville and the St. Clairsville Moose Lodge #2504. He graduated from Bridgeport High Schools Class of 1970 and was an avid hunter and bass angler. Eddie is survived by his wife, of 14 years, Sharon (Fernihough) Caruth; his children, Eddie Caruth of Wheeling, Heather Caruth of Moundsville, Lori Caruth of Wheeling, Robert Bowers and his wife Jackie of Bridgeport, Eric Bowers and his wife Misty of North Carolina and Deanna Nolan of St. Clairsville; a brother, Fred "Fritz" Caruth and his wife Cindy of St. Clairsville; a sister, Sandy Grimm and her husband Harry of Bridgeport; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; as well as great nephews. Visitation will be Monday 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 am with Pastor Brad Call officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
