Edward R. "Dick" Duck, 78, of Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He was born Nov. 29, 1934 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Theodore A. and Agnes G. (DeFrank) Duck. He was retired from the Martins Ferry Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Dick loved sports of all types and was an avid supporter of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, OSU Buckeyes, and especially the Martins Ferry Boosters Club. He also was a runner for 23 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Letty Mattia. Surviving are a brother, Larry Duck of Martins Ferry and sisters; Donna (Paul) Donahie of Wheeling, WV and Carolyn (Malcolm) Thomas of Medina, NY, several nieces and nephews, and his dog "Teddy'. Private services were held at the convenience of the family at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH with Minister Brad Johnston officiating.
