Edward Ring, 80, of Glenns Run Rd., Martins Ferry, OH died Sun., Mar. 19, 2006 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling WV. He was born Jan. 14, 1926 in Martins Ferry a son of the late George E. and Lena L. (Myers) Ring. He was a retired truck driver with Pease Township, Belmont County and a retired school bus driver for the Martins Ferry City School District. Ed attended Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Mt Pleasant, OH and was a member of Redmen Tribe #75 of Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ada May (Fry) Ring, a step son Joseph L. Fry, a brother Robert "Bob" Ring, three sisters Lois Stewart, Martha Cleaver, and Dorothy E. Ring. Surviving are two sons Edward A. (Sandra) Ring of Pattonville, TX and Thomas L. (Julie) Ring of Martins Ferry, three daughters Kathleen (Michael) Dobson of Winter Park, FL, Georgette Burge of Martins Ferry and Barbara (Bruce) Grimes of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters Esther (Bill) Kremer of Kettering, OH and Marian (Norman) Walters of Littleton, CO, a friend and companion Dolores Spragg, eighteen grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren. Friends will be received Tue., 6-9 PM and Wed., Mar., 22, 2006 from 11AM until time of services at 1:00 PM when Rev. Byron McElroy will officiate at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH.
