Edward Schilling, 88 of Bridgeport passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Rolling Hills Nursing Home.  He was born on August 4, 1935, in Deep Run, OH, the son of the late John and Mary (Lander) Schilling.

Ed was retired from the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company, in the shipping department, Martins Ferry Plant, he was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Martins Ferry and loved his Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John Schilling, sister, Mary Louise Custer, 3 nephews, Mark, Tim, and Kippy Custer.

Left to cherish his memory are his nieces, Nannette (Kenneth) Troyan, Nadine (Stephen) Moore, Mikki (Bill) Custer, Sharyl (Doug) LaCross all of Martins Ferry and Johnny Schilling of VA, as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Ed's wishes there will be no public visitation at this time.  A Celebration of Life with a burial will take place at a later date at the Upland Cemetery in Yorkville, OH.
