Edward J. Slavik Jr. of East Main Street St. Clairsville died Friday January 7, 2011 at his home. He was born August 4, 1951 in Martins Ferry a son of Edward Sr. and Irene Kubic Slavik of St. Clairsville. He was Owner and Operator of Slavik's Studio in St. Clairsville, he was a Master Photographer, Jay Stock as his mentor presented Ed with his Master Medallion in 1990, and he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Past President of the St. Clairsville Noon Rotary where he began the Rotary Interact Program. In addition to his parents he survived by two sons Edward Justin Slavik of Virginia Beach Va. Nathaniel J. (Nadia) Slavik of Washington State,a daughter Susanna J. Slavik of San Francisco Cal. a brother Stephen Slavik of New Albany, two sisters Susan Douglass, and Mary (Gary) Griffith both of St. Clairsville, also several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside Tuesday January 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday at St Mary's Catholic Church St. Clairsville with Fr. Thomas Chillog Officiating. St. Clairsville Knights of Columbus #4243 will recite the Rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment in Linwood Cemetery Blaine. Vigil service will be recited Tuesday at 6 pm.
