Edward David Williams, 70 of Bridgeport, formerly of Martins Ferry passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025.  He was born on January 3, 1955, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late William F. and Helen V. (Davis) Williams.

Ed was a graduate of the former Linsly Military Institute class of 1973, attended West Liberty College, and a member of the Grace United Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry.  He worked at Willamette Industries in Delaware, OH and the former Giant Eagle in Bridgeport.  Ed was a member of the Body Shop in Yorkville and competed in several body building competition, placing 3rd, 2nd, and 1st.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Joyce Lee Williams and nephew John Michael Hildebrand.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Shelia (Frank) Carpenter of Martins Ferry and Dana (Alan) Wood of Powell, OH, and 3 nephews and their families.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH. 43935.  Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family at the Greenwood Cemetery, 1526 National Rd., Wheeling, WV.  26003.
