Elaine Daniels, 81, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 12, 1932 in Belmont, Ohio, daughter of the late Densle T. Murphy and Ada g. Grant Murphy. Elaine was a retired bookkeeper. She loved reading, golfing, jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed the company of cats. In the last twenty years, she refined her ability in oil painting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, VanAmburgh Martin, Jr.; second husband, John H. Daniels; and brother, Densle Murphy, Jr. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Jean Daniels; son, Dennis (Betty) Martin all of Barnesville, Ohio; three step-children; grandchildren, Denise (Chuck) Furr of Summerfield, Ohio, Nicole (Dr. Timothy) Miller of Granville, Ohio; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Mann of Barnesville, Ohio, Judy (Joe) Yurina of Sugar Hill, Georgia; brothers, Robert (Doris) Murphy of Sandyville, Ohio, David (Carolyn) Murphy of East Sparta, Ohio, Randy Murphy of Odessa, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and nine fur babies. Family and friends may visit, Wednesday from 2-8 pm, Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio where the service will be conducted, Thursday 11 am. Pastor Jean Cooper will be officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
