Elbert C. Wymer, 91, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born February 9, 1926 in Stockport, OH, the son of the late George W. and Hattie Belle (Hammon) Wymer.

He was retired from the Lovelace Trucking Company. Elbert was a member of the Cave Club and Bates Lodge #1 A.F. & A.M. and was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Wheeling. He was a veteran of U.S. Navy, World War II

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Pyle and a sister, Hazel Pepura.

Surviving are his wife, Hilda L. (Shafer) Pyle Wymer, a son Thomas Wymer of Wheeling, WV, daughters, Patricia Wilson of FL and Debra (Dave) Clark of St. Clairsville, OH, five grandchildren: Seth (Missy) Wymer, Jarrad Wymer, Tricia (Ronald J.) Cottman, III, Danial Wilson and Christopher Bowers and 14 step grandchildren.
