Elizabeth M. "Elsie" (Haag) Lude, 84, of Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, October 23, 2010 in Indianapolis, IN. She was born December 12, 1925 in Germany a daughter of the late Berthold and Theresa (Hofmann) Haag. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Jacob Lude, and a sister Muschi Maleszewski. Surviving are a son John (Georgann) Lude of Indianapolis, IN, and two daughters Diana (Jeffrey) Sommer of Martins Ferry and Heidi Waller of Vienna, WV, six grandchildren, Lee Cambrea, Jason Melendez, Nicole Cornish, and Lucas, Derek, and Chase Waller, five great grandchildren, and her companion of nine years, Roy Brown. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH, Wednesday, 6-8 pm and Thursday October 28, 2010 from noon until time of services at 1:30 pm with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Clarington Cemetery, Clarington, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association, Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
