Elizabeth A. "Libby" (Mihok) Wheeler McCombs, 84, of N. 5th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Apr. 24, 2010 at her home. She was born May 11, 1925 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Palecko) Mihok. Libby was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. At the age of 80, she married the love of her life, Spencer. They spent the next 5 years loving, laughing, dancing, working crossword puzzles and enjoying music every single day. She was retired from the AARP Senior Employment Service. Libby was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, and the former VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Eagles. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Thornton Wheeler, a step-son David McCombs, a step-daughter Barbara Oravec. Surviving are her husband Spencer McCombs, four daughters Lynn Wheeler Burton of Truth or Consequences, NM, Donna (Daniel) Baron of Bloomington, IN, Penny (Tom) Saucier of Springville, IN, and Lisa Wheeler Lovell of Bloomington, IN, a step-son Brent (Karen) McCombs of Houston, TX, a step-daughter Patty (Don) Cline of Martins Ferry, OH, thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, OH Apr. 28, 2010 at 10:00 am with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating.
