Elizabeth G. "Liz" (Coleman) Wiant, 86, of St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Delia Ave., Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009 at Forest Hills Retirement Community, St. Clairsville. She was born Feb. 22, 1923 in Martins Ferry the daughter of the late Charles L. and E. Grace (Rasbridge) Coleman. Liz retired from United Dairy of Martins Ferry. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Woman's Assoc., Martins Ferry Woman's Club, and Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary. Liz was an American Red Cross volunteer for many years at East Ohio Regional Hospital. In her younger days she was an accomplished violinist having performed with the former Wheeling Civic Symphony. Surviving are her husband Dale M. Wiant of St. Clairsville. The family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff at Forest Hills for their love and kindness in caring for Liz. Friends will be received Wednesday, 2-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. John Helgeson and Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Deacons of the church will hold services Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
