Elizabeth (Betty) Irene Wrixon 96, died July 26, 2012 at Autumn Heath Care of Adena. She was born July 27, 1915 in Fairpoint, Ohio, a daughter of the late Oscar and Bertha Lee Thornton Hess. An Alumni of St. Clairsville High School, and the Scott Business College in Wheeling, she worked at Scott-Lumber Co. Bridgeport, she was a member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, the Colerain Senior Citizens, and Colerain Homemakers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence H. Wrixon in 1976, one sister Martha V. Seidler Horneffer, two brothers Paul D. and Walter F. Hess. Betty is survived by a daughter Barbara Ahmad, a grandson Gamal Ahmad, and a great granddaughter Jaila Ahmad all of Colerain. Friends are invited to a celebration of Betty's life on Sunday July 29, 2012 from 1-3 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. And then on Monday from 10 am till time of service at 11 am at the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church 200 Bennett St. Bridgeport, with Rev David Demarest officiating, interment in Union Cemetery St. Clairsville.
