Ellen E. (Collige) Eward, 86 of Evergreen Ln., Wheeling, WV, formerly of Hickory St., Martins Ferry, OH died Thur., Dec. 16, 2004 at Rosewood Manor, Yorkville. She was born Sept. 30, 1918 in Warren Twp., OH a daughter of the late Georgia (Burdess) Collige Swett and Arthur Collige. She was retired as a head cook for Martins Ferry High School and a member of the First Christian Church, Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse J. Eward, Sr., a daughter Elizabeth Ford, and a brother Charles A. Collige. Surviving are a daughter Marlene Baird and her husband Robert of Wheeling, a son Jesse J. Eward, Jr. and his wife Sally of Perrysburg, OH eight grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Friends will be received Sat. 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sun., Dec. 19, 2004 at 1:30 PM with Rev. David Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
