LENGYEL, Elmer W., 82, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Thursday February 17, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born in Dillonvale on November 19, 1928, a son of the late John and Elizabeth Elek Lengyel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: John and Robert Lengyel. Elmer was a retired employee of Norfolk & Southern Railroad; a U.S. Air Force Veteran; a member of Dillonvale American Legion; a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church; Ohio Valley Hungarian Cultural Society, and a member of Knights of Columbus. Elmer is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Anna Stock Lengyel; four sons: John (Beverly) Lengyel of Adena, Andrew Lengyel of Dillonvale, Tom (Janell) Lengyel of Dillonvale and David (Heather) Lengyel of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Debbie Battilochi of Dillonvale; a brother: Ted (Donna) Lengyel of Dillonvale; five grandchildren: Andrea, Kristie, Jessica, Tiffany and Joey; and a great-granddaughter Mckenna. Friends will be received Monday from 2-9pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday February 22, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Dillonvale, with Monsignor John C. Kolesar, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, with graveside Military Honors provided by Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529.
