Elmer William Sherman Jr., 86, of Tiltonsville, died Thursday May 20, 2010 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born May 4, 1924 in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Elmer and Gertrude (Neidert) Sherman Sr. Elmer was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Martins Ferry and love to fish and golf. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Betty Petros. Surviving are his wife, of 62 years, Wilda (Welshhans) Sherman; a sister Dorothy Scott of Georgetown, SC; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday May 23, 2010 from noon till 4 pm with a Service of Bereavement by the elders of Grace Church at 12:30 at Wilson Funeral Home 102 Main Street, Tiltonsville, OH. Services by Rev. William Webster will be held on Monday May 24, 2010 at 1:30 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, Tiltonsville.
