Elsie M. (Daubenmeyer) Samuel, 93, formerly of Delaware St., Martins Ferry, OH died Tues., May 23, 2006 at the Beckett House, New Concord, OH. She was born Nov. 5, 1912 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Howard and Nellie (Burke) Daubenmeyer. She was a member of the First U. Methodist Church of Martins Ferry and Bridgeport Chap. #452 Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd G. Samuel, a daughter Sharon Lynne Samuel, two brothers Wayne E. Daubenmeyer and Howard Daubenmeyer, Jr., and a sister Dorothy Fowler. Surviving are a daughter Sue Ann Emig of Byesville, OH, two sons Thomas L. Samuel of Flushing, OH and James B. (Roseanne) Samuel of Jamesville, NY, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Friends will be received Thurs., 5-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry where services will be held Friday, May 26, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Eastern Star services will be held Thurs at 6:30 PM in the funeral home.
