Elsie Helen Schorsten Lutz, passed on December 6, 2024

peacefully at Hope Hospice, Fort Myers, Fl.  Elsie was born September 7, 1920, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Simon & Katherine (Stieger) Schorsten.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William John Lutz, Jr., sister, Mary Schorsten Elbert and brother, Simon Schorsten.

She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Lutz Fantis (John), of Parma, Oh., and North Fort Myers, Fl, son, William John Lutz III, of Middleburg, FL., granddaughters Jill Lynn Jarvis (James), Dana Kaye Smoot and Kelley Marie Lutz Reddington (Corey), 8 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, Anthony Fantis, Cinthia Fantis Pulskamp (deceased), Suzanne Fantis Allison and Sandra Fantis Potts as well as 8 step great grandchildren.

She was a Member of St John's Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry, Ohio and retired from The Times-Leader, Martins Ferry.

There will be no public visitation, arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.

Burial will take place at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove with Rev Chap Holbert presiding.
