Emily Ruskowski, 88 of Martins Ferry, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Wheeling Hospital.  She was born February 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Luigi and Amelia (Falbo) Suriano.

Emily retired after 27 years of service with the Stone & Thomas Department Store in downtown Wheeling and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Martins Ferry.  She was a proud graduate of Martins Ferry High School, class of 1953 and was a cheerleader for Mackey School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stephen Ruskowski, Jr., in 1999, her brothers, Anthony, Vincent, Joe, Johnny and Frank Suriano.

A lady of many talents and interest, she was an outstanding cook and loved to bake, however her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Stephen (Diana) Ruskowski of Louisville, OH, daughter, Linda (Dennis) Jones of Wheeling, grandchildren, Ethan (Jennifer) Jones, Adam and Amelia Jones, Giovanna Ruskowski, great-granddaughter, Emma Lee Jones, sister, Elvera Hogue, and brother, Louis (Patti) Suriano and many nieces and nephews complete the family.

All family are welcome for visitation on Monday, April 24, 2023, from 9am-11am at Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935 and for the Mass of Christian Burial which will be held at 11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
