Emma Beard, 87, formerly of N. 5th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at Sienna Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pleasant Grove, OH. She was born May 30, 1923 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Szurgent) Kadar. Emma was a member of the former Liberty Fire Department Ladies Auxuillary In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Allan Dean Beard. Surviving are a sister Margaret (Charlie) Moore of Martins Ferry, two nieces Patty (Chuck) Bennett, Jr., and Margie (Roger) McFarland both of Martins Ferry. Friends will be received Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Rev. William Webster officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
