Emma Katherine Gilbert 103 of Martins Ferry passed away Sunday June 13, 2021 at the home of her daughter. She was born December 29, 1917 in Scotch Ridge, a daughter of the late Earl and Alice (Major) Finney. She was a domestic engineer, and a member of Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Gilbert, brothers Eugene, Wilbur, and Delbert Finney. Emma is survived by her children Nancy Long of Mansfield, Don Gilbert of Beech Bottom, Mildred (Ed) Sapp of Wileyville, WV, and Margaret Gilbert of Martin Ferry, a sister Dorothy Stingle of Smithfield, 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home Heslop Chapel 415 Walnut Street Martins Ferry on Wednesday June 16, 2021, from 4-8 pm, where services will be held on Thursday at 11 am with Rev.
