EMMA "BABA" OBLOCKOVICH, 85, of Mingo Junction, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville. She was born November 30, 1922 in Mingo Junction, the daughter of the late Theodore and Sophie (Laich) Ekovich. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church in Steubenville and was the owner of the Oblockovich Greenhouse in Mingo Junction. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vasil Oblockovich, Jr.; two brothers Michael and Samuel Vignovich; four sisters Martha Vignovich, Rosie Chuich, Sophie Ekovich, infant sister Mildred Vignovich; and a grandson Robbie Oblockovich. Surviving are a son Russ Oblockovich of Mingo Junction; a daughter Ann Brown and her husband Skip of Mingo Junction; as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Ave, Mingo Junction, where Pomen services will be held at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 am at the funeral home with Father Rade Merick officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Cemetery in Steubenville.
