Emma M. (Preat) Hathaway, 84, of Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., Oct. 10, 2005 at home. She was born July 20, 1921 in Wellsburg, WV a daughter of the late Leo and Louise (Minet) Preat. She worked for the former Imperial Clevite of Bridgeport, OH and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph V. Hathaway. Surviving are her son Richard V. Hathaway and his wife Alecia of Martins Ferry, a brother Leo Preat of Porter, TX, a sister Louise Paine of Yerryington, NV, and three grandchildren Shanna, Richard A., and Kyle S. Hathaway. Friends will be received Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH from 10AM until time of Memorial Services at 11:00 AM when Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence will officiate. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, OH.
