Eric W. Orend, 35, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Monday, February 16, 2015. He was born March 13, 1979 in Wheeling, WV a son of Brenda (Haught) Orend and the late George W. Orend. He was a heating and cooling technician and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Charles & Selma Haught and paternal grandparents; John & Margaret Orend. Surviving are his mother of Martins Ferry, his sister, Lisa (Steve) Chirpas of Bellaire, his uncles; Jeffrey Haught of Martins Ferry and Jack Haught of Friendly, WV, his aunt, Janice Brown of Lynchburg, VA and his nieces; Brianna and Jewel Chirpas. Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Thursday, February 19, 2015, from 4 pm until time of services at 8:00 pm with Pastor Philip Van Dam officiating.
