Ernest William Bachie Jr., 71, of Lansing, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in his residence. He was born on November 23, 1952, in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Ernest and Joan (Scheid) Bachie. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurst, was employed by Lowes in St. Clairsville for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and OSU Buckeyes fan.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol (Klemm) Bachie; children, Billy (Crystal) Bachie, Stephanie Roeder, John Bachie, Joseph Bachie, Elizabeth (Charles) Thompson II, Michael (Hannah) Bachie, and Sarah Bachie; many grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bobby, and Sammy Bachie; and a granddaughter, Lacey Thompson.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
