Ernest W. "Bill" DiBacco, 83, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Sept. 19, 1929 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Constantino and Beaulah (Jeffries) DiBacco. Bill retired after 35 years from the Martins Ferry plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII. Ernest was affectionately known as "Pap" by his loving family. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Linda D. (McIntosh) Shablack, his sons; Robert DiBacco of Martins Ferry and William DiBacco of Pennsylvania, his daughters Tina Lopez of Laredo, TX, Amanda (Tony) Saunders and Jennifer DiBacco both of Martins Ferry, five stepchildren, 19 precious grandchildren and an exchange student, Dayana Loza. Friends will be received Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
