Ernest M. "Ernie" Lovell, Jr., 74, of Cleveland Ave., Rayland, OH died Fri., Jan. 5, 2007 at home. He was born Sept. 22, 1932 in Rayland a son of the late Ernest M. Lovell, Sr. and Sylvia (Marty) Lovell. He was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant. Ernie was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Martins Ferry, OH, Pleasant Valley Sportsman Club, Mt. Pleasant, OH and a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a stepson John, a stepdaughter Brenda, a brother Harry Hill and a sister Ruth Lovell. Surviving are his wife Patricia (Solomon) Lovell of Rayland, a son Gary (Wendy) Lovell of Dillonvale, OH, a daughter Debbie (Neil) Infante of Austintown, OH, two stepdaughters Liz (Edward) Gura of Martins Ferry and Sue Digman of Dillonvale, two brothers Edward Lovell of Cambridge, OH and Melvin (Irene) Lovell of Martins Ferry, two sisters Helen Supinski of Yorkville, OH and Elsie (Gabriel) Mackey of Martins Ferry, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sun. 12-3 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Mon., Jan. 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul Bailey and Rev. Timothy Campatelli officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
