ARMY AIRFORCE CADET ERNEST ""GLENN"" MUNN, 23, of Pleasant Grove, Ohio, died November 18, 1942 on the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in Fresno, California. He was born January 18, 1919 in Barton, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Sadie (Newman) Munn. Cadet Munn was a member of a four person crew aboard an AT-7 Navigator aircraft that crashed during a routine training mission in 1942. He was discovered by backpacker in 2007 and his identity confirmed in February of this year. Cadet Munn is survived by three sisters Jeanne Pyle of St. Clairsville, OH, Sara Zeyer of Adena, OH and Lois Shriver of Pittsburgh, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, Ohio. Friends are then invited to attend visitation on Saturday from 12 pm until the time of the funeral services at 1 pm at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Colerain, Ohio, with Army Chaplain Captain Raymond Folsom officiating. Interment will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, with full military honors being conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard, Ft. Knox, Kentucky.
