ESTHER ""ETTE"" BARCLAY, 89, of Lansing, died September 30, 2008 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. She was born December 16, 1918 in Lonaconing, MD, the daughter of the late William and Bessie (Sexton) Barclay. Ette retired from Kasper's Market in Lansing. She was a member of the Lansing United Methodist Church; the Hermion Temple 1 Pythian Sisters and the Daughters of America. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters Amelia Jane Barclay, Eva Yost, Beatrice Otte, Wilma Brykalski, Martha Highfill and Janet Suchy. Ette is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 pm with Reverends Donald and Karen Upson and Reverend Lisa Boulton officiating. Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Lansing United Methodist Church or Wolfhurst VFD.
