Obituary

Esther Jane (Och) Snodgrass Booth, 94, formerly of Colerain, OH, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Emerald Pointe Nursing & Rehab, Barnesville, OH. She was born September 16, 1923 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth B. (Kelly) Och.
She retired as Administrative Director for Harrisville Clinic, Harrisville, OH.
Esther was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of American Legion Post #521, Bellaire, OH and V.F.W. Post #8848, Colerain.
She was a self taught artist and teacher all while enjoying her time with the "Happy Carvers" group.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Thomas Snodgrass and second husband, Riley "Bud" Booth and her sister, Elizabeth Withers.
Surviving are her children, Rev. Dr. Thomas L. (Kathleen) Snodgrass of E. Springfield, OH, Jill O. Freeman of Wheeling, WV and Joan E. (Rick) Greenwood of Stratham, NH, grandchildren; Ginger Matthews, Shannon Freeman, Shane Freeman, Cristin Fuller and Samuel Snodgrass and seven great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Thomas L. Snodgrass officiating. Burial follows in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
