Esther H. (Worthington) Bennett, 79, of Bridgeport, OH, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born in Pleasant Grove, OH, on April 17, 1940, a daughter of the late Edwin H. and Sarah (Monroe) Worthington.

Esther was a homemaker, a devoted and loving wife and mother, serving side by side with her husband in the ministry. Esther enjoyed reading, puzzles and spending time with her children, grandchildren and family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer D. Bennett, Sr.

Surviving are her two sons: Homer Bennett Jr. (girlfriend Marcia) of Barnesville, OH, and Erman (Georgeanna) Bennett of Belpre, OH, sisters: Bonnie Cominsky of Pleasant Grove and Joanne Balukonis of Parma, OH, five grandchildren: Barbie (John) Whiddon, Kristen (Jacob) Holman, Daniel (Brittney) Bennett, Emily and Kevin Bennett, five great grandchildren: Jacob Paul, Aiden, Hayli, Ella and Cameron and nieces and nephews: Bill (Tammy) Cominsky, Virginia Reynard, Bill (Kim) Reynard, and Diana (Bill) Jones.

As per her request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Hicksite Cemetery in Emerson, OH, with the Pastor Ken Haley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to, St. Judes Childrens Hospital or the charity of choice. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this posting.
