Ethel Mae Freese DATO, 88, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed Friday March 1, 2013 at the Country Club Retirement Center, Bellaire, Ohio. She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on May 1, 1924, a daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Herink Freese. Ethel was a retired Cook from the Warren Consolidated High School; and a Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Dato; brothers: Jack, Joe and George Freese, and a sister Elsie. Ethel is survived by a son Sam (Susan) Dato of Cape Coral, Fla., a daughter Flo Dato of Akron, Ohio, a sister Florence Smith of Martins Ferry, grandchildren: Brian Dato and Erika (Ron) Hunt; great grandchildren: Trevor, Ava Dato, and Kailey and Kaden Hunt; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, where services will be held Tuesday March 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Lewis, officiating.
