Ethel "Jean" Gonot, 69, of Quaker City, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her home. Born January 19, 1948 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Phalen and Eva Banyas Phalen.
Jean was a housewife who truly enjoyed the farm life, canning, and the animals she helped to raise with her husband.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Phalen, Jr.
Jean is survived by her husband of 44 years, David Gonot of Quaker City, Ohio and sister, Debra Haglizou of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
The family will receive guests on Friday from noon to 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 1 p.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Interment will be private and at the convenience of Jean's family.
