Ethel Mae
(Merkel) Todoroff

Ethel Mae (Merkel) Todoroff, 93, of Dillonvale, passed away on December 17, 2024, with her sons by her side. Ethel was born on May 9, 1931, in Dillonvale, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence and Genevieve (Gawrych) Merkel.
Ethel was a 1949 graduate of Dillonvale High School, a member of the St. Adalbert Catholic Church, the Catholic Women's Club, Rosary Society and Choir. She was also a member of the Dillonvale American Legion Auxiliary, Post 529.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Randall; sister, Charlotte Pavlovic; and brothers, William and Andrew Merkel.
Surviving are Ethel's sons, Michael (Donna) and Mark (Denise); brother, Joseph (Phyllis); her three grandchildren, Steven (Kaleen), Marissa (Garrett) and Emily (Dillan); as well as her four great-grandchildren, Grace, Dimitri, Lily, and Sophie.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-6 pm with a Vigil Service at 3 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Monday at 10 am in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 39 Smithfield St., Dillonvale, with Father William Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Meadows in Cadiz for their compassionate and loving care of Ethel.
