Eugene George Barker Sr., 70, of Louisville, KY, passed away at his home on Monday, June 27, 2022. He was born on September 27, 1951, in Martins Ferry a son of the late George and Jennie Zelkowski Barker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Georgia Leach.

Eugene is survived by his daughter, Stormie Kirsopp; son, Eugene Barker Jr.; granddaughters, Autumn Kilgore, Arielle Kirsopp and Aubrie Kirsopp; siblings, Barbara Springer, Mary Lou Quinn, Jennie Lee Solak and Bill Barker.

He served his country in the US Army and enjoyed working on cars and playing the guitar. Eugene retired from Mondi Bags where he was a maintenance/machinist.

A Memorial Visitation will be held, Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 1-2:30 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 145 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. The Belmont County Veterans Association will present Full Military Honors, 2:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home. A Memorial service will be held at 3 pm Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church, 400 Walnut St., Martins Ferry.
