Eugene W. Rogers, 65, of Barnesville, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born February 19, 1946 in Somerton, Ohio, son of the late Clayton M. Rogers and Lilian P. Brown Rogers. Eugene, a life resident of the area, was a heavy equipment mechanic with Quinn Development. He was a life time member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, a member of the Barnesville Masonic Lodge 0089, Easter Star 206, and a volunteer with Amedisys Hospice. Eugene served in the Army National Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Rogers, Paul Rogers, and Roy Rogers; and one sister, Doris Plumly. Eugene is survived by his wife, Anita F. (McCabe) Rogers; sons, Brad (Sherry) Rogers of Somerton, Brent (Marilyn) Rogers of Columbus, and Brock Rogers (Julie Lauer) of Barnesville; five grandchildren, J.C., Laura, Lilia, Gloria, and Shannon; and one brother, Robert (Ginger) Rogers of Columbus. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio, where services will be conducted, Monday 11:00 a.m., Reverend Carol Touvell officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
