Evan R, "Junk" Fedash, 80, of S. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH passed away Fri., May 19, 2006 at Trinity East Medical Center, Steubenville, OH after a lengthy illness. He was born May 12, 1926 in Yorkville, OH a son of the late Pete and Sadie (DeBloha) Fedash. Evan was a graduate of Yorkville High School where he played football. "Junk" was drafted and served in the U. S. Navy for two years, as a Electrician first class. He then took a job at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he worked in management and had a partnership with Joe Kavage know as K & F Electric. In additions to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Joseph and brother-in-laws and sisters-in-laws Kenny Joseph, Joe and Mary Ann Birmingham and Bob and El Petras. In 1953 he met the love of his life Elizabeth "Liz" (Petras) Fedash on a blind date. They married on Sept. 7, 1955 and had 51 wonderful years of marriage. Where they enjoyed traveling, reading, dining out, crossword puzzles and spending time with their family. Surviving also are brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Claudia Petras of Royal Oak, MI, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Mon., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tue., May 23, 2006 at 1:00 PM with Father Vincent Huber officiating, followed by full military services at the funeral home, by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W.
